The idea came together on the rooftop of our apartment in Phuket, both of us nursing a Chang and complaining about the roaming charges we'd just copped. A few months later we had a real business.

Look, we'll be honest. TravelSimply started because we were sick of paying excessive roaming charges every time we left Australia. Then there was the physical SIM thing, swapping the original out at the airport, hoping you didn't lose it somewhere between Bali and Bangkok.
We figured eSIMs were the answer, but when we started shopping around, every brand was charging way more than the wholesale cost actually justified. The underlying networks are identical across every provider. The markup is the only thing that changes.
