- 2 Tap the blue Install eSIM button. Tap Allow or Add when your phone asks.
- 3 Give it a name like Travel. Then do the one must-do step below and you're set.
Got an older phone, or the button didn't do anything? Just scan the QR code instead, shown below.
Step by step
Open Settings
Tap the Settings app, then tap Mobile Service. Some phones call it Cellular or Mobile Data, it's the same thing.
Tap "Add eSIM"
Then tap Use QR Code.
Scan the QR code
Hold your camera over the QR code in your email. If that email is on this same phone, open it on a laptop or another phone so the camera can see it.
Name it "Travel"
Give it a name like Travel so it's easy to spot. Keep your normal SIM for calls and texts.
The must-do step: pick it for data + turn roaming ON
Open the Travel eSIM, choose it for Mobile Data, and switch Data Roaming ON. Skip this and you'll have no internet overseas. Roaming here is safe, no extra charges.
Open Settings
Tap Settings, then Network & internet, then SIMs. On Samsung phones: Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
Tap "Add eSIM"
Then tap Scan QR code. You might need to tap "Don't have a SIM?" first.

It's nearly always one of these two
No internet when you land? It's almost never a broken eSIM. It's nearly always one of these two simple settings. Check them first.
Your eSIM isn't picked for data
Your phone is still using your old SIM. Go to your settings and choose the TravelSimply eSIM for mobile data.
Roaming is turned off
Your eSIM needs roaming ON to work overseas. Turn it on. It's safe and free, it just lets the eSIM use the local network.
